"Speak in my presence without permission once more half-breed and I'll be adding your dust to my wonderful dinner. My darling daughter, I see you've neglected to bring my Morrigan to me. Perhaps I shall use your slayer friends for target practice. Again that is."Here we were. We. Funny how at that moment I felt like I was alone again, facing off ( Read more... )

Faith took the tranquilizer gun that was in my hands and shot at Wes' chest. He jumped out of the way of course, but turned into this ... What the hell was going on? I looked from Faith to Buffy, then back to this beast. He muttered 'die,' then lunged at us, more so at Faith. Pushing her out of the way, I ducked, letting the beast like Wes lunge over me, then I was on my feet again, as was Faith. "Faith now!"

Had no idea what was going on, or what could happen, but I figured it wasn't good. It would be better if we got this over with though, then someone can explain to me fully what the hell was going on.

"Angel!" I scream, he is in trouble, but isn't he always?

I did not think, the axe leads me to the ram, I swing feeling as if the heft of the axe pulled my body along like a large dog drags its walker.

I barely had time to consciously understand what I was doing. The axe should have connected but it met only air. I felt a blunt connection though but it was the wolf striking me not the other way around. I flew back nearly loosing the axe in the fall. I had to cling on to it because if I lost it I lost everything.

"Fuck" I mutter right before the second connection, my body connecting with the wall.

I watched our team get tossed of one by one by the wolf and had to remind myself for the first time in years not to panic. I gripped a knife in one hand as I shot off a bolt from my crossbow.

The bolt only grazed the wolf's back as he lunged at me. I managed to slice into it's abdomen, but it didn't seem to notice. It's teeth tore a gash into my shoulder and I lost the knife.

Desperate I kicked it hard and pushed myself back and away toward the crossbow I'd dropped. Not that I felt it would help.
