[ Sothe was in need of sleep before the event took place, probably, so it was not difficult for him to eventually pass out. Probably even standing up. 3 hours 3 minutes and 3 seconds later, he jumped awake. He'd be glad to be back in his room if not for the wake-up greeting.
The scene before him is much more medieval than a fair amount of passengers on the Crucible are used to. There's even a castle in the background. Of course that's not nearly as noticeable as the bodies lying around. They're various people from his world. One may recognize Tormod, Rolf, or Naesala if they looked hard enough.
Sothe's eyes are transfixed on
this girl, however. She's being held down by armed soldiers, and the butt-end of a sword cracks down hard on her skull]
Mica--
[He tries to move forward but somehow finds that every step makes her seem further away]
Micaiah... MICAIAH!! Goddess help her.. [They're beating her senseless, stabbing her mercilessly and ripping off pieces of fine clothing to do unspeakable things. Being as she's a mage, they've taken her tome and ripped all of the pages out of it, and Sothe still can't get near her] You promised you'd never leave me again! No, no.... STOP IT, NO!! I will always protect her!!
[But he doesn't, this time. She dies long before they're through with her, and when they're done, the soldiers merely march away, leaving a small group of mismatched and war beaten citizens and guards bending down on one knee in front of Sothe]
"The Queen is dead...Long Live King Daien."
[The Queen was dead. That left them with a King who did not ever want to be King and certainly not to rule alone]
.... protect....her.....
