Right if I were you I would definitely be watching Ryan Adams (brilliantly shambolic live. Saw him in Feb), Editors (wasn't into them until SXSW. Going to see them in Edinburgh in August), Broken Social Scene, The Frames, New Pornographers, Wolfmother (I love Aussie Hard Rock!), Matt Costa (Jack Johnson's surfer buddy), Eels
I share your confusion over Feist/Go! Team. GT were awesome at SXSW. So good I went to see them again a day later!
S'cool. You should come to London at some point. There will always be something to stoke the fires of interest.
If you like your British indie you should check out Hope of the States. Download 'Nehemiah' first. It's such a gorgeous song!
Oh, and if you haven't seen either Feist or The Go! Team, see The Go! Team. They have so much energy, they get the crowd going and they are just an all round excellent live album.
The Frames supposedly put on fucking amazing live shows, and they're really awesome and do an amazing cover of Britney Spears's "Everytime". So that would be my vote. OhhhhhmygodIammsojealousespeciallytheNewPornographers.
Don't forget to keep reminding me (since i have no life outside of orgo) about JM. I AN SO EXCITED!! And I owe you mohlah.
I heard about Wolfmother! They are very Rolling Stones/Led Zepplin. The lead singer looks like he stepped out of the 70s, complete with last night's eyeliner and just a vest as a shirt.
I obviously need to hear the new pornographers. Mix cd?
