It's awesome that you can finally put him on your insurance. I really wish other companies would come around. John and I have been together for almost 9 years now, and I still can't be on his insurance until we get married. So stupid.

This may not be an Appropriate Question but I've never known the reason why the two of you haven't tied the knot. Like you've said, you have been together long enough. :-)

Long term, I'd be happier with some form of universal health coverage. Arguments about the implementation of same are appropriate for another post.

As much as the piece of paper may not specifically matter, the surrounding mass of legal rights (and yes, responsibilities) are a big deal. I'd suggest considering the equivalent emergency powers of attorney and such before it becomes too late.

(That said, while I did my research and actually spoke to an attorney, I still have to pull the trigger on the paperwork.)

The big trick will be getting sun other than on the top of our shoulders since those have been crisped at least twice now.

The Summer has been at a nice pace so far. Definitely let us know when you'd like to get together.

No, I haven't read the novels yet as I was unaware of them prior to the show. They're on my amazon wish list at this point and will probably show up on the kindle at some point.
