AJ Questions

Aug 27, 2010 12:27

Hi, I hope it is okay to post questions.

What BSB songs have AJ been credited for (co-)writing? And do you think he is a good song writer?

I ask this because I am listening to If You Knew What I Knew in Windows Media Player and AJ is actually credited for writing it. I think it is one of my favorite songs. I know he wrote a lot of his own solo work. ( Read more... )

If I remember correctly, all of the guys co-wrote The Answer To Our Life and Time. AJ also co-wrote Yes, I Will and Treat Me Right.

According to Wikipedia, the guys (minus Kev, obviously) also co-wrote: the Unbreakable intro, One In A Million, Panic, Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon and She's A Drem.

.:is too lazy to double check with actual album booklets:.

I don't know about his writing credits, but I do know no post which incites a discussion about AJ's voice (yes, that's what I am taking from this post) could ever be trivial.

I think the thing that strikes me so much is how well he understands his own voice.
THIS. Seriously his voice and how he uses it has always blown me away. I absolutely love every song on Have It All and I think it basically comes down to how his voice sounds... like liquid gold.

I love you.

I've been telling everyone I know "Aj is the best singer I've ever heard." and they just use the topical "That's because you like the Backstreet Boys". And it's like not that at all. Aj has an AMAZING vocal range.. Who else can sound like Prince's falsetto and Bobby Womack's soulful tones in the same song if needed? Okay, Bobby's voice was a little deeper. I can actually understand him when he is singing a verse too.. Now, I don't endorse any of the stuff AJ has been through, but I think but I think his life has actually made his singing like a billion times better over the years.. And he has always been the stand out singer of the group for me.

I need to make some icons..

I get the "oh, here we go again" resigned look from my friends when I start in on one about AJ's voice (and a couple others too). LOL. I just have to wonder what they are hearing, or NOT hearing as the case may be. How can anyone not want to crawl into and curl up in the speakers and stay there when they hear AJ?!

he does have a great range, but I also love the tone and the very sound of his voice, not to mention the power. he makes it look and sound so easy. For me, his voice is like gentle fingers running up my spine. *shivers in delight*

We all have our demons and AJ is only human. It's like the old saying, what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.

I was 12 when Millennium came out and I was like in awe at he sounded so.. At the time different from what the songs they put videos out for.. But now I know he sounded so intimated in No One Else Comes Close. I was even shocked when he went "Damn.. I love you.." at the end. Oy.. Mah virgin ears..

I don't think he ever released music under Johnny No Name simply because it was mostly him just covering songs he liked. I tried looking around on Youtube but only found concert clips.. I really respect as a fan, whenever you see a clip of a BSB concert, all of the fans are singing along besides screaming at the top of their lungs. That ought to prove that we care more than how great they look. =)

AJ's always been one of my fave guys in BSB. Not just bc he's sexy but his voice is beautiful. If You Knew What I Knew is one of my ultimate fave songs ever. The only odd thing is I didn't think his solo album was all that great. The lyrics had potential but I just couldn't get into the style some of the songs had.

No doubt at all...AJ has a great voice! I love BSB...Long live! :) A writer or a singer would be fit to him...
