1. Favorite episode?
Good question. There are a few that I like, and they're mainly the ones where the unsub had something sudden and dire happen to them that changed them into someone capable of murder. I'm thinking mostly of Normal and True Night.
2. What season did you start watching?
To be completely honest, I have no idea. I started watching the reruns on Ion and, perhaps interestingly enough, it was another fandom that got me into Criminal Minds. But it was like a gateway drug.
3. Favorite guest star?
No idea. I do know that I was surprised at James Van Der Beek's acting in The Big Game and Revelations.
4. Favorite female character?
Probably Garcia. Prentiss gets on my nerves, and JJ comes off as a minor Sue. I actually did like how they treated Seaver after a point, for all she wasn't around for long.
5. Least favorite female character?
A three-way tie between Elle, Prentiss, and Strauss.
6. Favorite place the BAU has visited?
All of it's California, so I guess California. I'm sorry, California doesn't pass for everywhere.
7. You’ve been kidnapped, and the BAU is doing victimology on you. What would they find in your room?
Most of John Douglas's books, a lot of fantasy/sci-fi books, fishtanks, DVDs, some old computers from the 90s, some out-of-date gaming consoles, all of my craft supplies, and my astounding earring collection. ...And a mouse.
8. Favorite Garcia/Morgan moment?
"I kinda love you, Derek Morgan," in faux Alaska.
9. Favorite Unsub?
Jonny McHale. I really, truly felt for him, trying to call and connect to his dead fiancee.
10. Least favorite Unsub?
Frank. He just never felt real or actually dimensional to me.
11. Favorite male character?
Aaron Hotchner. It started out being Reid, but I think I might be burning out on him a little.
12. Least favorite male character?
A tie between Gideon and Morgan, honestly. Both of them jump up and down on my nerves for some reason. Though I do think Gideon irks me more. He was so separate and aloof, as if he thought he was better than the rest of the team, and that really bothered me.
13. Favorite couple?
Penelope Garcia and Kevin Lynch, unless we're talking non-canon, and then I can admit to loving Hotch/Reid.
14. Favorite episode quote?
Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth. --Oscar Wilde.
15. Jason Gideon or David Rossi?
David Rossi. I'm still not incredibly fond of either of them, as I think Rossi is a bit too egotistical, but he connects better than Gideon.
16. Elle Greenaway or Emily Prentiss?
Can I please opt for neither?
17. Least favorite episode?
The Thirteenth Step. While I was watching it, I wasn't even sure I was watching Criminal Minds.
18. Most interesting case?
Zoe's Reprise, with the young man who was mimicking other serial killers to try to find his own killing style. Or maybe Demonology. Despite it being a Prentiss-centric episode, I admit to liking it because it deals with the idea of a religious ceremony as a crime.
19. Grossest/most disturbing case?
To Hell... ...And Back. The exploitation of the disability of one brother by the twisted mind of the other, coupled with victims being vivisected then eaten by pigs? Ugh.
20. Favorite Morgan episode?
I honestly can't think of one that stands out to me.
21. An episode that made you cry?
100. Thomas Gibson absolutely showed his acting chops there.
22. Favorite Prentiss episode?
Demonology. For once, she almost seemed human.
23. Favorite personal interaction between characters?
Either Hotch and Reid in Hanley Waters, where Reid admits to having doubts about the job, or Garcia and Reid in the first season, I think it's Fisher King, where Reid tells Garcia about his mother.
24. Favorite character quote?
Remind me to have her drug tested. --Hotch after Garcia called them her fine furry friends.
25. Favorite Reid episode?
The Uncanny Valley. He was able to show his own growth and help the girl as well. Plus, he told off Commander Riker. That's great.
26. Favorite Hotch episode?
Outfoxed. It was almost Lo-Fi, but I didn't like the woman in that episode, so it sticks with Outfoxed. A real display of his own torment.
27. What would you want to see in a Criminal Minds movie?
Hmm. Let's see. I want a storyline that deals with the evolution of a murderer from beginning to end. One who travels from state to state, almost daring the BAU to find him. Leaving a few subtle signs that all of these murders are being committed by the same person. He's smart, almost Reid-smart, leading them from place to place, practically pinning them where he wants them to be, and at the last moment it turns out that he's what's been troubling Strauss, because he's her son. The one she's always favoured. That would be a fun movie.
28. How would you end the show?
I would end it with the movie I was talking about, and it would end, after that grueling case, with Reid leaving the FBI, Rossi retiring, and Hotch handing the reins over to JJ as he takes the Section Chief job for Jack's sake.
29. Have you considered an FBI career because of this show?
No, because I know how the real job in the FBI works, and how the show portrays it isn't it.
30. Something you learned from watching the show?
Not even crime show dramas that try to be at least a little realistic are exempt from the rule of cool. California looks nothing like the rest of the US - but I learned that from Knight Rider back in the 80s. Replacing most of the writing staff at once is a bad idea. Stay the hell out of fandom. Behaviour-wise, though? Not much, because I was reading John Douglas before the show came out.
