What a handsome bird, with beautiful colours. And so very different to the European robin.

It's always great to see the birds return for the breeding season.

In fact it's very like, in size, behaviour and alarm calls, the European blackbird - doesn't sing quite so well, though

The colour reminds me a bit of the Common Redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus), although they are smaller than our blackbirds. It's really interesting to see birds from all over the world - such variety.
