Hungarian partridges

So, fortunately, my next update is positive. I spotted a pair of Hungarian or grey partridges under our front window yesterday. I had noticed this pair the other week as they ran across someone else's lawn. As I got off the bus stop I thought there was some garbage or something on the lawn. Nope! Yes! We have a bird feeder in front of the window, so he knows what other birds are...but seeing them run on the ground must have been a surprise.

My favourite story about Muffin and the outside birds - he used to like to sit on the window above the front door. A crow also used to like to sit on the lamppost across the street. Call it a case of "small, far away". One day the crow flew at the window and Muffin discovered that the "little crow" was quite big! He hasn't really sat on the window after that :-D
