A duck by the sea

These weren't taken in my backyard, but down on the south coast of England a few years back. I've been trying to identify the bird more recently, and I'm not sure. It could be a teal, possibly juvenile or in moult, but if anyone here can identify I'd be very grateful because I'm really not sure!

It's a Fulvous Whistling Duck -- they have a lovely call, and they're kept as ornamental birds in the UK - we used to breed them on the bird farm I grew up on. Easy breeders, as I recall, and very affectionate. It's unlikely to be a vagrant, more likely an escapee; here's the species page (which has the calls on it!).

Thank you so much!! I'd never have worked that out, I was looking for native or common vagrant ducks, lol!! I knew when I took the photo that is was an unusual duck, and very pretty, but it never occurred to me it could be an ornamental one, so thank you again!
