Glad to hear that your trip was so awesome. Traveling is a great thing to do, and I am super glad to read that you were able to see so much, and enjoy so much, in the little time you had! :D

Thank you so, so much for describing your journeys in such beautiful and vivid detail! I've always wanted to see Europe, as I imagine you had, and it's a diffucult task indeed to describe those difference that make the experience of laying eyes on a strikingly different corner of the globe for the very first time one which you will both carry with you in your memories forever, and which will beckon you with the an enticement that could be likened to the explorer being permitted but a glimpse of a new world, and waiting in earnest to see it again and unravel what mysteries lie beyond that one glimpse. And yes, I certainly understand what it would be to see in the old and antiquated of a city not a lack of refinement, but a charm and an appeal that testify to a window into a long and cultured past.

But your post did so much to capture the essence of the looks, the smells and the feels of all these places -- and it sounds like you had a wondrous time too! I'm so glad. So, which place was your favorite of all???
