I love being a mum, but currently I am approaching 7am the wrong way... I am a morning person, but not so much a four o'clock in the morning person.

Time for her own room? We put Ava in her own room at three months because we'd hit a dangerous cycle of her waking me up with snuffles and snorts, me waking her up because I thought she was upset/ awake/ hungry/ poopy and in fact she was just noisy. From the day she went in her cot, she's slept through most nights except for illness.

Fran and I can sleep through each other no problem, it's only daddy that makes trouble :)
Still, if it bothers him too much then Fran and I go back in the nursery so that he can monitor nuclear safety with a clear head! I can't do a separate room just yet as I'm too lazy to want to get up for night feeds, and Fran is not yet happy to sleep alone.

Just think that you too may be able to experience the only benefit of having a snoring husband in the future. Many parents get stuck with a toddler who will always creep out of their own bed into mummy and daddy's and not go back to their own, fidgeting and keeping everyone awake. Not in our house. Nia learnt very quickly it's pointless trying to sleep in our bed due to the noise produced by daddy. She got so annoyed on the few occasions she did come into our bed that she asked to be taken back to her own bed.
