Which pull-ups are you using? We've had no luck with pull-ups because the ones we have don't actually fasten, they just pull up and down like pants. This of course makes them even easier to remove than a nappy, and doesn't even give us the option of gaffa taping them on unless we tape them to the actual child, which would be a bit mean :)
We use the sainsburys own brand ones, which tear at the hips if needed. You mentioned she undoes them without removing trousers - these would be harder to do that way.
However, they do go up and down like pants, so they may well be easier for her to remove if she can pull down her trousers.
Yes, try pull ups. They're no more expensive and the only annoying thing is having to take tights off to put the new one on. How old is she now? Could you buy her some big girl pants and trap the nappy underneath? We had some training pants that had a flannelette liner that caught dribbles. I'm being woken up by the girls who take it in turns. It would be so nice to get a whole nights sleep!
My sister has a similar issue with my neice. She ended up buying some of those absorbent mattress wrap things. Kinda like nappies for the bed. They're designed for support during potty training and when trying to get the child used to nights without nappies. Might be worth a consider if she does not want nappies at night anymore

Have you considered braces? :)
