The part that gets me (or one of the parts) is that they went through about a thousand applicants to find Diane Kruger (Helen).

And Achilles killed Hector!! Why didn't they just name it "Achilles"?

good suggestion! if they had marketed it as being "very loosely based on the character of Achilles from the Iliad", i don't think i would have been quite so bent out of shape. it's more that they essentially re-write history and pass it off, for all intents and purposes in the minds of the general public, as fact.

a thousand applicants, you say? seriously, at least one of them must have had more acting talent than a wet blanket...at least, i'd hope so.
