my favorite is the - 7" Luer's "BONE RONGEUR," with the box joint, in curved OR straight - Model: 50-0664.

looks innocent enough right? but man the torque on that baby is just unreal, it just eats up skull. you get through the cranium in a few snips.

...then the fun begins!!!

the chisels are good don't get me wrong, but there's nothing like the "fingertip control" you have of your "subject" with a good pair of bone rongeurs. it's an acquired taste, i'll grant you that (most "practitioners" like myself, lunge straight for the chisels and mallets) but once you get in there with a solid pair of french made rongeurs, then and only then can you really appreciate the... art.
