i did learn something from my last relationship, i noticed we didn't know each other as well as i thought and we moved to fast. This is a problem that i seem to do everytime, i shouldn't think about those retrictions socialty puts on relationships and look what i need out of it. Seems like I know what you are dealing with because it has happened to me before. What I learned is exactly what you are trying to focus on right now "where you want to be" instead of "where you have been" Relationships New or old should not dwell on the past because it brings up issues which can not be controlled and have nothing to do with your current partner. You have control of each moment you are living today and so you might as well make the most of them. I believe a relationship becomes special when we build new memories which will last a lifetime. If your afraid that your past is something that is hard to share then why bother? If you really need to look at your past then at least discuss it terms of how it might influence the future rather than expose embarrasing moments about you. My focus has been on how to make my current relationship one experience after another, and seeking to expose one good moment during that experience, like the moment of laughter, the moment of experiencing something new together or the moment of ( ... )
