DON"T SEE THE HAPPENING!

Please, by anything you hold dear or holy, DO NOT spend money on this movie. I love everything else Shyamalan has made, but this movie, it is the single most disappointing thing I have seen in years. Worse than the last Indy film. How else can I say this ( Read more... )

Yes, yes, dear god, yes! Even A would rather have seen Adam Sandler, that's how bad it is.

Yikes! Netflix viewing it will be so I can see how bad it truly was. Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment apparently. I am looking forward to seeing the new Hulk though, maybe we should try to all see it together...just a thought :)

I ususally avoid internet reviews etc. because of the spoilers, but after watching the TV ad for the movie for the umpteenth time last week my curiosity got the better of me. I Googled the darn thing to find out exactly what this "happening" was supposed to be. And Wikipeidia already had the entire plot and reviews, even though the movie hadn't opened yet. When I saw that the Rotten Tomatoes rating was only 12%, I knew it was gonna be a stinker.

Thanks for the confirmation.

I am curious to know the plot now that I will not waste my money. What was the story and why did it suck?

Did you see the trailers? If so, you have seen the entirety of the plot. Actually, I've been told it's already up on Wikipedia.

As to why it sucked, there was never any twist and the human story was pretty week. Honestly, i could have left 30 minutes into the film and not missed a thing, but since it was M. Knight, I assumed that something interesting would happen further in. It never did.
