Penelope had had an exhausting phone conversation with her mother. Yes she would be home in two weeks. No she would not be staying longer than a week. Penelope's message had sounded really urgent. So Hurley found himself rushing down to her room and knocking, trying not to sound like he was mildly worried when he did it.

Penelope had just set aside her water pot when that knock sounded and she looked over in surprise, not at all expecting him so soon. Or possibly tonight.
