With Joan kind enough to lend Penelope the room for the evening, she'd set it up rather nicely for her picnic and movie night with Hurley. There were candles lit in various vantage points, and a comfy blanket with big fluffy pillows neatly arranged on the floor. Dinner was fried chicken, potato salad, fresh dinner rolls, and cherry pie for dessert

"Oh, that looks awesome," he said, seeing the spread that Penelope had put out.
He was also very glad the blankets were taken care of. He wasn't sure why, but it seemed a huge relief.
Then he saw her dress. "Oh, wow. So do you."
He hadn't really dressed up, he was still in just a t-shirt and jeans.

With a faint blush, she stepped forward, towards him. "Thank you, for noticing both the room and me. You look just as nice, as you always do." And she leaned up on her toes (without heels, Pen was under five feet) in an effort to try and kiss his cheek.
