She wasn't sulking. At least not much. She was perfectly content to stay in her alcove and dismiss any dispairing chance of running into that boy. After her workshop, Claire went back to her cabin, thinking about a lot of things. She noticed that one of the cabinmates she hadn't met yet was in her alcove though and knocked on the partition.

"Hello?"

"Hello," Penelope said quietly.

It was a voice she didn't recognize but it was female and in her experience, were much more tolerant of things they didn't understand. Which was why she added, "You may come in."

Claire opened the curtain and stepped in. "Hi, I'm Claire, from B1. I just wanted to introduce myself."

She smiled. "Hi, Claire, I'm Penelope. It's nice to meet you." There was plenty of room on her cot to sit and she indicated such if the other girl would like.

"They're smaller than our dorm rooms, but I find them rather cozy."

Ellie decided she should meet her other cabinmates, so she wandered over to Penelope's alcove. She noticed that she seemed a bit down. "Hi, are you okay?"

She looked up from her lap where her thoughts had taken focus. "Hello," she said, offering her a small smile. "I'm trying to be," she admitted, sheepishly. She must be terribly easy to read. "I'm Penelope."

"Hi Penelope. It's nice to meet you," Ellie said, giving her a warm smile. "I'm Ellie. I'm over there in B2."

The warm smile was genuine and it made Penelope feel better. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Ellie. You are a new student, yes?"

Coming back from the store and heading to her alcove to rest a little before doing the campfire thing, Turtle noticed Penelope in her own.

"Hi, Penelope," she waved in passing, "how's it going?"

"Good," Turtle nodded. "I'm enjoying them, too." And not just because it wasn't room 513. "Good to know I've got a good neighbor. I'm right next door in B3."

Penelope nodded. "We should have lunch one afternoon, Turtle," she said, because she was aware of Turtle's boyfriend leaving. It was sad. Also, she was asking everyone that stopped by to do something with her; she was afraid she might not venture out by herself for sometime.

But she did have class tomorrow. Hm. And yes, work.

"I am glad you are right next door."
