The straw that broke me was when the agent I just 'fired' (and signed the paper stating she was no longer my agent) then called ME to whine about how I had told her I was giving the house back to the bank. Well...I got some funds in that helped to to pay that loan payment, and told the guy I'm now listed with that I have about a month.

Honestly, if that lady showed HALF the gumption of the new guy....that house would have been sold months ago.

I feel you on this! Years ago, we had the worst listing agent. He never showed the house, it was always other agents, most from different real estate companies. No initiative whatsoever. Called me after I had left town to complain that the house smelled "funny", obviously expecting me to do something about it when I was living 400+ miles away (in a small apartment with my husband and our dog while we waited for the house to sell). Told him to go buy some plug in air fresheners if the place smelled (which being shut up, with minimal a/c running, I'm sure it probably did have a musty smell). Like, why am I having to tell a grown man this??? Same thing when we finally got a buyer who asked for some minor repairs. I told him to handle it because I was 400 miles away and had no way of letting a service person into the house. Don't know if those repairs were done or not, to be honest. He definitely did NOT earn his commission.
