My friend in Australia has just told me that she has bulimia and has had for quite a while. She is thin already but insists that she is fat. She promised me that she would never do anything stupid or hurt herself. I told her she is crazy... Do you think that its wrong for me to be mad at her. She lied to me and I can't help it

I don't think that you should be mad at her.
She made that promise when she was happy with herself, and just happened to stop that kind of feeling.
She didn't mean to hurt you, she was hurting herself, and I think that that counts above all.
In the process she happened to hurt you, and she probably feels shitty about that.
Being supportive and just..caring with her will go a longer way than being mad at her.

no, Jamie i don't think its stupid for you to be mad, honestly, i would be angry too. She promised you, and although, yes she's sick, your only mad because you care about her. If you ever want to talk about it, don't hesitate to talk to me, i've had a few friends who have done it, and i needed someone to talk to when i found out, so i would understand.
