Alright folks. I'm curious who you would like to see run for President in '08 for both parties and who you think will actually win the nominations for both parties.

Mine:

Republicans:
Want:
Rudy Guliani
Probably:
John McCain

Democrats:
Want:
Wes Clark
Probably:
Hillary Clinton

Hmm, military bent on both parties?

McCain maybe, but doubtful, he's had plenty of chances. I honestly don't think that the reps will pull out someone who can best the dem hopefuls now. And for the dems, it won't be Hillary, not just yet; probably Barak Obama. Well, he'd be the best man for the job, but the republicans will just make fun of his name and how it sounds like osama and then it'd be over. They're assholes like that.

Actually Ted Kennedy took care of making fun of Obama's name already. For me Obama doesn't have the experience yet. He's a low man in the Senate and hasn't demonstrated any leadership as of yet. Possibly if he became governor of Illinois, I could see him running in '16 or '20.

I would love to see Obama as President someday, whether it's 08, 12, 16, whatever. It just needs to happen. The man has charisma coming out his ears.

Unfortunately, I think it's way too soon for Hillary to successfuly be nominated, let alone elected. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think the first woman president will be Republican. She can win votes from liberals because they want a female president, and she'll be less likely to scare away conservative voters.

Unfortunatly I agree with 2/3 o your post. I think she could very well win the nomination, but I'm with you on everything else. :)

At least there's the possibility of having a female president before we have a non-Christian president.

Hey, a female speaker is putting us on the right track anyway!

I find "Condi for President" to be one of my worst political nightmares. If she ever runs for president I will be running scared until she's defeated, regardless of how small (or large) her chances of winning might be. If she were to win... ugh. The bad thing is that she's quite intelligent and skillful. She isn't a political nobody, and has a lot of respect- I just happen to not agree with the way she handles things. *twitch* *shudder* That lady frightens me.
