Thank you very much!

In the original story, Sherlock drags out the disguise even longer, deliberately bumping into Watson earlier in the day and then barging into his consulting rooms later. And, of course, the shock is even greater for poor Watson, because Sherlock's been presumed dead for three years. I softened the blow considerably by shortening that to seven months!

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. And you're right, it's such a great scene. I'm sure it's been done to death in fics, but I simply couldn't resist the idea of writing BAMF!John fainting!

Yay! I'm so glad you posted it, this is a brilliant piece. BAMF!John fainting is absolutely heart-stopping and I think you've done a great job of portraying the swing of his emotions between anger and relief, then back again... it's very believeable. Sherlock too is very well drawn and it's difficult to stay angry with him - I liked the bit about Mycroft being a very good liar... hard to argue that one!

As always, I'm very happy when you enjoy something I've written because I admire your writing tremendously (and your ability to create an entire narrative thread, something I'm still struggling with -- I'm looking at you "Trust Issues").

And I definitely appreciate your honesty as a reviewer. It helped make this piece so much better!

What a wonderful piece of writing. I have read the ACD original some time ago and this one exactly catches its tone while bringing in so much beautiful BBC Sherlock and slash and... oh my, I'm impressed. And grinning. Sooo widely.
