If you ever want to try making spaetzle again, I think my German cousin gave my parents some device which is supposed to be used for making it (bigger holes than a colander I guess?). My parents have yet to use it (though I think my cousin used it when she was visiting last time), so I could probably borrow it for you. ;)
The lead climbing sounds terrifying- but I suppose good if you ever intend to climb somewhere that isn't already set up for you...
Oh my God, I would have killed for a spaetzle maker. At this point, though, it is highly doubtful that I will EVER make spaetzle again!
Right. Lead climbing scares the shit out of me (people lead climb stuff in the gym and when they fall, they end up dropping 10 feet and their belayer flies a couple of feet in the air). Being able to lead climb opens up a lot of outdoor climbing possibilities, though, and that would be awesome, so I'm working on facing my fears!
