Weekly New's, Week 21
There is no way to adequately describe how awesome Berlin-style ping pong is. It basically turns ping pong into a social event. A bajillion people crowd around a ping-pong table and the two people at either end begin a volley. Everyone else then rotates around the table, getting one hit each. If you miss, you're out. Once all but two people are eliminated, they play for the best of three out of five. Also keep in mind that this is happening in a bar, so everyone is playing one-handed while holding a beer in the other hand. It's a great way to meet new people and strike up conversations, and it's just active and engaging enough to keep everyone focused on a common purpose. It's amazing.
I also had a friend come over for coffee BEFORE work, aaaand I got to go to the Adventure Playground with a friend and her cousin's two young children (who are all sorts of adorable).
... and that's all I'm going to talk about here. My life is pretty hectic right now, but nothing is going in writing (especially not on the Internet) quite yet.
