So I felt like I owed it to the cast of Laramie to write a post about how impactful the play was and about how perfectly everyone played their roles, but I realised that there are no words that can do any piece of that play justice. It was beyond anything I have witnessed, and Fred Phelps is really going up against something stronger than he can ( Read more... )

If we have a cause, like giving the money to some gay rights organization, then I think we can get the Fieldhouse at South for free, which is what I want. So there's a big, easy-access place. How to fill it? Get a shit-load of (popular) bands and make a low ticket price. I'm going to contact as many bigger local bands as possible (definetly Furvis), and I also want to send out emails to nation wide bands (The Walkmen, Decemberists, etc.). I mean, it's worth a shot. Does the last Friday of school before December break work for you?

That play was so powerful. Especially the part about his funeral.
I guess the biggest help would be advertisement, but I don't even know if it's going to happen yet. My band doesn't even know my idea yet. I appreciate the offer, though :)

My friend Avery played the part of the guy announcing his death, and he did such a realistic job. It was devastating. And the part where Matt's father made his speech about how he was letting Aaron live.

Wow, I think I missed this.

I'm friends with Justin again, and aren't you friends with Jimmy? 'Cause he's been my best friend for years. Come by soon, though. Let's not have this be one of those things we talk about and never happens.
