can i ask you a couple questions about the books? would you reccommed the following? i'm about to buy lovely bones...is it worth it? 6. Everything is Illuminated - Jonathan Safran Foer [02/18/07] 7. The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold [02/24/07] 10. A Man without a Country - Kurt Vonnegut [started and finished on 04/17/07 :D] 11. Breakfast of Champions, or Goodbye Blue Monday! - Kurt Vonnegut [04/19/07] 12. God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian - Kurt Vonnegut [04/29/07]
Lovely Bones is soooooooooooooo worth it. I did a review of it not long ago.
Everything is Illuminated I really liked, but I'm a bigger fan of Foer's other work, Extrememly Loud and Incredibly Close.
The three Kurt Vonneguts were all equally brilliant. The man has a style of rhetoric that makes me giggle, but it makes me really think too. 10 and 12 are both like, social commentary on the world, but 11 is a fictional work, and one of my favorites.
