I hate to admit this, but the longer I'm here, the more...normal things start to seem?

That isn't good, is it. Probably sounds insane, too.

Or maybe it's just that I'm never bored. I hope the novelty doesn't wear off.

Genderswap, NO. NEVER. The clothing swap would've been cool, though. I felt gypped again.

I've thought the same thing from time to time. For all that the City and the curses are strange, one gets used to the idea of them, and stop being as shocking as they were at first.

CAIN HARGREAVES. But it feels weird to make a deal out of this knowing that I'm a character, too. BUT IT'S CAIN.

I mean, there are some genuinely bad curses, but some of them are really amusing.

There have been more than a few genuinely bad curses. I suppose yesterday's might have been amusing if one wasn't struck by it--or at least not struck badly by it.
