Yosuke has a LiveJournal, or similar. Someone has been trolling it lately--not funny trolling, but really cruel, awful trolling.

One day, he uncovers the troll's identity, via IP logging.

It's Souji.

Why Souji's doing it, how Yosuke reacts, et cetera, is up to anyone who feels like filling this.

Ha, yeah, it's probably pretty obvious who wrote it! Man, I am becoming all, like, predictable, and stuff.

For some reason, I love prompts that have to do with a) shit happening to Yosuke or Souji, and b) the Internet. And prompts that are just WTF. And this one satisfies all three conditions! Yay!

Your Yosuke is so perfectly canonnnn the way he just loses himself and lets himself drift... I get the feeling Souji’s being a troll not because he doesn’t care but because he wants Yosuke to be stronger. Or something. IDK I JUST KNOW I WANT MORE.

Thanks! Glad Yosuke rings true for you! :-) (That state of mind comes naturally to me, when I'm tired...writing this during the last couple of hours of a long, long workday really works out for the characterisation, I guess! Ha, ha!)

He's alone, on the bench by the fire door, basking in the glow of five minutes ago:

"Nice job, son. Why don't you take a break?"

"I don't need--"

"Go on. You've earned it."

"Thanks, Dad."

He doesn't think it'll ever get old--Dad making him take a break. Dad thinking he's earned one. Dad giving him a gentle push: off you go!

There's a light, buzzy feeling in his head. Kind of euphoric. Kind of disorienting. Reminds him of coming off the carousel, when he was little, weaving and giggling, thisclose to throwing up, and already begging for another ride. He doesn't look up when someone sits down beside him, close enough to rub elbows. He tells Souji "hey." Souji grunts. Souji kicks a stone across the flagstones. Souji informs Yosuke that he's dumb, for sitting outside without his coat. Yosuke leans against him: warm me up, then.They sit. Souji fishes a rice cake, individually wrapped, out of his pocket, nudges it into Yosuke's hand. Yosuke eats ( ... )

Oh anon, you're breaking my heart! In the best possible way. (I also think I know who you are, and never apologize for being predictable, because you are one of my absolute favorite writers on this meme. <3)

By the way, am not the OP (you asked if I was above), but I'm sure she loves this story too! How could she not. And Souji is STILL AN ASSHOLE, but I'm starting to gleam a little motivation behind his behavior . . . even if that doesn't make it okay.

Awwww, thanks! :-) That made me smile in an entirely predictable, but nonetheless satisfied, fashion! ;-) ;-) ;-)

I haven't delved into the truly dickbaggish side of Souji much, in my other fills. Still feels a bit weird. But he DOES have options in the game, that imply that he COULD be a major jerk, if he felt so inclined. "Be an ass and leave" comes to mind. But I never picked any of those.

Maybe that's what attracted me to this prompt: the challenge of writing the guy who saved Inaba as a giant goatsebag.

Haha, yup, I knew it was you. XD And as anon above said, don't worry about the predictable-ness. It's more like, your style is so unique that it stands out, really. As none of your stuff is really "predictable" except for the "bad shit happens!" factor. XD

But oh oh, did I catch that right? That Souji possibly doesn't know its Yosuke's blog? 'Cause I'm totally getting that sense right now which is totally "oh snap!" ...though I could be totally wrong. lol
