Digital Devil Saga AU. The Gang are infected with the Demon Virus accidentally through the telly and become 'Asuras' -- reactions to newfound need for cannibalism. What are the group dynamics like when they're brought together by murders they're helping each other with, rather than solving?

AND/OR

Kanji's demon form is strong on ailments, especially Charm, and has terrible tentacle affiliations. Souji knows he wants both of these and, reasoning that if he's decided he can eat people, this can't be terribly uncomfortable to ask for.

...And now both Souji and Serph freak the hell out of me, especially after reading somewhere that Serph is Souji's father... So it runs in the blood. Talking about meat, this makes me hungry.

Chie and Yosuke never got along before the incident, and they don’t really get along well now, either. They fight a lot. Yukiko thinks that it’s charming, in a vague sort of way. Right now they’re arguing about the exams at the bike rack. Chie says that it’s Yosuke’s own fault for his bad grades ( ... )

I have nothing more intelligent to say at the moment except that I'm still enjoying this. Each time I read something by you I'm reminded how much I like your writing style and how you handle the characters. Souji choosing Mitsuo because he didn't like him caught me off guard, and Yosuke revealing that he actually was frustrated with their situation instead of taking it all in stride was, well, revealing (and I kind of fondly rolled my eyes when he said he didn't mind taking a bite of something if Souji had already done it). He brings up a good point, though, one that Yukiko thought of: what are they do later down the road? They can't just eat people forever.

This group. ;-; I worry for them.
