Souji wonders if it's wrong to have that spark of fear flare up in the pit of his stomach when he sees his girlfriend coming towards him in the hallway, but he can't help it when she's moving with such purpose, staring a hole right through him as she approaches. He almost wants to run as she approaches, sending the first years in her path to either side of the hall; he's pretty sure Moses has nothing on her.
“Hey,” Ai says, as she reaches him. She doesn't sound like she's angry, and that's good, right? Then again, she does seem to be a little more on edge than usual, so he remains braced for impact. She doesn't give him a chance to greet her, as she continues, “Are you doing anything after school?” He shakes his head, and she loses some of the hard edge in her stance - she even smiles a little. “Then walk me me home after school.” It's more of a demand than a request, but he's used to it.
