Souji had never known rage like this in his life.

He recalled being enraged in the presence of Shadows before; this was not the same. At those times, his sword felt like a feather in his hands, easily splitting the creatures’ bodies and grinding them back down to wisps of smoke. He lost control of himself, but the strength in his arms was too overwhelming not to use, and he felt as though he could hack apart any Shadow in the other world entirely by himself, as if they were practically throwing themselves on his blade. That rage was power.
This rage was weakness. But the feeling was similar.

Everything turned to a blur in his peripheral vision as he stalked the hospital hallway, the only object remaining perfectly clear in his sight that of Yosuke’s retreating back. He walked slowly, and Souji’s long, determined strides would bring them together in three, two -

Yosuke gasped as Souji grabbed him by the collar of his uniform jacket and slammed him up against a door.

“Fuck, what is your problem?!” he snarled, lashing out as Souji ( ... )

Souji couldn’t take it. All of his calmness and clarity had been shattered today, utterly destroyed and irreparable, and his entire body throbbed with uncontainable sorrow and anguish ( ... )

Did he expect to look up and see a sickly yellow glow in Souji’s eyes, or an oppressive black cloud swirling around his frame? Was this what Souji’s Shadow would be like - unfeeling, uncaring, a shell of a man finally broken by the pressure of having to save everyone else but himself? Was he anxiously waiting to hear Souji whisper, “You are me”, to accept this rejected side of him back into himself, to sit up and blink away the confusion and apologize in shame for ignoring those feelings ( ... )

Wow.

That was. Just. Beautiful? Awesome? Perfectly angsty and fantastic? ajskfd;asjd; I feel pretty bad for both Souji and Yosuke, but I really enjoyed that. Any chance of a repairing s link sequel? 8D;;

Anon, how should I said it? Broken S.Link - the ending was just perfect. You broke my heart, anon, and it means you're doing a really good job.

Oh angst ;A;

You know, I always prefer yosuke/souji angst, but when you do this, you really change my perspective
