“Welcome to the Velvet Room,” said Igor. “Hmm. How strange. You aren’t the Servant I meant to summon.”
“Um,” said Caster. She blinked. The Velvet Room? This was more like the ‘Velvet Stage’. “What am I doing here?”
“You are about to embark on a remarkable journey… although, I fear I am somewhat reluctant to leave the Velvet Room, as one of my other guests still requires need of my services.”
At that moment a door opened up, and a young man with blue hair walked through. He went to the blonde woman carrying a book and said, “Lucifer and Satan.”
“Um,” said Caster.
“That will be four hundred thousand yen.”
The boy produced the money almost immediately-was he some kind of gang leader? Who carried that amount of cash on them these days?-and thanked the woman with a smile. He looked at Caster only once, and then disappeared through another door.
“Well,” said Igor. “I suppose it would be unfair if I kept you up here all by myself. Perhaps I could do a bit of tweaking in the other world?”

Chie… Souji was still seeing stars, but when he looked closer, he recognized person who just kicked him in the face as the girl who sat next to him in class.
“Never mind that, what are you doing out here! It’s not safe for girls to be out after dark!”
“I don’t have time to explain,” Chie said. “Have you seen a girl in red coming by here?”
Souji shook his head. Yousuke’s eyes, however, were narrowing. When Chie moved to run away, he grabbed her arm, and tugged back her sleeve, revealing the Command Mantra burned on her hand.
“So you’re the one who sent that crazy Caster after us?!”
“It’s not like that! I… I just lost control of Berserker and…”
“You got Berserker? How are you going to keep that crazy girl under control ( ... )

“I did, too,” said Chie. Souji nodded his head in agreement.
“Oh, good! Igor said to help you deal with Berserker there. Souji-kun, Archer will be back in a minute. He was looking for a Persona who could use Bufudyne, but got stuck in the elevator on his way back … Anyway, do you have an ice persona on you? Preferably one who isn’t weak to fire?”
“I have Loki with me. He knows Bufudyne.”
“Good. Berserker is weak to ice, so use Bufudyne once or twice, and that should take care of her.”
“But I don’t think I’m at a high enough level… Byakko can’t null fire, either, so-”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Yousuke demanded.
… He probably shouldn’t have said that. Wordlessly, he searched for Byakko, and pulled out the tiger’s card from his mind. Berserker was just a few feet away.
Sweat. Sweat on his face. Archer had reappeared some way back, and had summoned a Persona with long, flowing yellow hair and a dramatic cape. Archer nodded to Souji, as though to say, You can do it. Don ( ... )

“No,” said Naoto. “In that respect we’re the same. I, too, would like to be…” She trailed off.
“Wait,” Rider said. “But… aren’t you…” He sputtered once. Twice. “What?!”
“Naoto. What a nice, manly name.” She smiled bitterly. “But I am a woman, not a man.”
“W-what?! B-but-”
“Perhaps I shouldn’t have told you.”
“N-no, that ain’t it. I mean, I-I’m fine with it. I-it’s just that I thought you were a… a guy. That entire time.” Rider made a sharp serve, narrowly avoiding hitting a tree.
“Make no mistake,” Naoto said. “I do not intend to be treated like a helpless little girl before you.”
“I don’t give a shit about that kind of stuff,” Rider said, his face still red. “I mean, I don’t really care, y’know? You’re hot either way.”
“E-excuse me?”
“Shit! Didn’t mean to say that!”
Take-Mikazuchi went through the wall of some poor person’s house.

Her name was Yukiko, and Chie was terribly fascinated by her. From the second Berserker had appeared before her in the moonlight, even when Berserker had burst to flames; she found Berserker endlessly fascinating, and saddening at the same time. Chie had lived in Inaba for her entire life, so of course she had heard of the tragedy at the Amagi Inn. In the past, she used to pretend that she saved the inn and rescued the girl inside the fire. Now she was struggling to grasp that this Berserker was the Amagi Yukiko, the girl who had died in the fire ( ... )
