It takes Souji three weeks to get Yousuke to come back to his house. The invitation comes swiftly, a toss of words, a tilt of his head-a strong part of Yousuke doesn’t want to go along with it. Since that day, they’ve been walking circles around one another, spending lunches on the roof with the same praise, leaving school to lurk among the aisles of Junes-anything but ending up back at the Dojima house. He doesn’t know why he’s against it, but some part of him (a vaguely curious part) wants to go there again, even if his stronger instincts say to deny it.

As they walk up the stairs to the room, he feels a little uneasy, as if his stomach is dropping. Yousuke’s pretty sure he’s just afraid of this, and he feels like he has a right! After Souji kissed him-after what happened with that-surely, surely, he has a right to be afraid of his best friend trying it again. The sureness of the thought fills his mind, and he chuckles uneasily as he pushes against the door. “Still keeping it clean, I see. Sometimes, man, you’ve gotta lighten up.

But he has a feeling that maybe, he’s just thinking about this too much. That’s not bad, though, is it?

Souji doesn’t seem to have much patience for the stop and starting action of his kissing, eventually pulling away and tugging at Yousuke’s wrist to pull him toward the futon. Yousuke stumbles at first, but follows, sitting down and letting Souji push him back. “I got it, man. I got it. I can do kissing. Don’t worry, leave it to me!” He laughs quickly before moving onto his elbows to kiss Souji back. His arms wrap around his best friends shoulders to bring him closer, and as he does this, Souji’s fingers trail down his torso, pulling up at his shirt, and drifting down beneath his waistline. It’s just a teasing of feeling, but it’s enough to make Yousuke pull away again.

Maybe this isn’t so bad, but it’s also really new, and hey, it’s Souji, so at least it’s not like it’s any guy and he doesn’t like any other guy like this, and wait-why is he already unzipping his pants like that

On a whole, it’s as long as expected, Yousuke coming quickly in a partial mess against his stomach, and Souji finishing up a few minutes later, resting lightly against his body. The overall feel of the situations is comfortable, yet not, and the initial feelings of uncertainty and unease start to roll back in as Yousuke realizes where he’s been-and what he’s done. It isn’t so easy once he starts thinking actively again, but maybe that’s just how it’s going to be for a while
