((Above!Author!Anon's note: Set after the worst possible ending. Spoilers are a given, so tread carefully.))You're the only passenger left on the train right now. Everyone else got off long before, and more than a few of them glanced at you when they passed by, curious. Wondering why you weren't moving with the rest of them. Just you and a skeleton crew, and they stopped checking on you after you didn't get off at the last station ( ... )

The fog outside your window lets you know that you've arrived long before the train shudders to a stop. The glasses still help, but a quick glance over the top lets you know that nothing's changed... though maybe it's just your imagination, but it seemed thicker before. Could be your memory playing tricks on you... if anything, you'd expected the opposite. Some of your worst dreams turned it practically opaque; maybe that's coloring your recollection now.

Either way, that doesn't change the sickly yellow haze shrouding the station, casting everything in shades that are just ever-so-slightly off. Yosuke's jacket is tinted cream, but even the fog doesn't taint your relief at seeing him waiting there, hands in his pockets and exactly how you left him, right down to the wistful smile that widens when you emerge ( ... )

"C'mon, you're staying at the Inn, right? I'll give ya a lift," and Yosuke's smile is free and easy, and he waves you over to where a motorbike's waiting, orange and red and a little battered, mud-spattered and whatnot, but still meriting the obvious pride in his voice. And Yumi's hands are on your shoulders even before you sit down, tucking in tight behind your old partner while she settles into place.

The bike roars to life, thrumming between your interlocked legs, and you try not to dwell on how poorly the headlight pierces through the fog. Surely that doesn't matter, because Yosuke knows these streets by heart, and so do you; memory fills in the shrouded details as you glide through empty streets. It's late, you justify -- somewhere beyond the fog the sun must be casting the rest of the countryside in golden flames, and no matter how well everyone's adjusted, surely nobody wants to be out after dark ( ... )

There's Rise -- you see her now, sitting pretty right on the edge of the bed, framed ever so nicely by your own spread legs. Wearing nothing but a smile -- and some very low-cut undergarments, pink so pale it melts against her skin, edges blurred by the shadows.

Her eyes--

"It's been too long, senpai~~" That's a picture-perfect pout, but it hardly registers over the sensation of tapered fingertips tracing the length of your leg. Your right leg; the other's recieving its own ministrations, but that isn't her hand -- it's larger, slender but callused, and off to your left Kou's smiling that same familiar smirk, and gray eyes flash gold.

"Everyone's missed you," and he grins, too wide and too white, and Daisuke is a dark mass behind him, a heavy hand stroking Kou's bare stomach, gaze molten and sharp and possessive. Ai's a shadow behind him, a flash of teeth at a tan ear, a low rumble of approval matching the high laughter at your other side ( ... )
