Souji pauses and steps back with a soft grunt. He allows Adachi to toe off his shoes and make it into the living area proper, ignoring the sudden awkwardness between them.

The guy sure knows how to kill the mood good and dead.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Souji waits for the other to settle down on the couch before resuming his ministrations. Of course, Adachi seems to take his sweet time crossing the living room. His eyes rove innocently, oh so very innocently, around the house, as if noting any changes since his last appearance there.

Finally--finally!--Adachi takes a seat and proceeds to look appropriately awkward. The blush on his cheeks has gotten no less apparent, and the way he holds himself, arms folded over his partially disrobed body, makes Souji wonder for just a split second if he had misjudged
