She's crying.
She hates to cry. Just one more thing about her that isn't masculine, isn't strong.
"Naoto," someone whispers. It all sounds the same, hissing, quiet and constant like the shadows before they caught sight of you in the TV world. These ones saw her all too clearly. They'd cornered her, and taken her glasses.
"Naoto." It's a sing-song. "Don't cry, Naoto," and perhaps it was Rise, what Rise had become. "It's so childish, isn't it?"
Sukuna-Hikona is straining at the back of her mind, reaching outside her control and Naoto feels him, like tiny feet on her shoulder, like enormous butterfly wings poking her ear and hair.
