It's probably Naoto's reaction that surprised them the most.

They had considered the possibility of this happening - or, more accurately, Yukiko had considered it. Chie thought worrying about it was a waste of time that could be spent on other, more enjoyable things. "If we get caught, we get caught," she had shrugged.

Now, with her pressing Yukiko against a tree and Yukiko's hands very clearly under her shirt, Chie wondered whether she had brushed off the possibility a bit too easily. Hey, things are different when you've got practically everyone staring at you.

They had predicted Souji's quiet smile, Teddie's interested gaze, even Rise's "Aww, how cute!" And then Chie noticed that one pair of eyes wasn't on them. Naoto, grinning widely, had turned to Kanji with her hand extended, palm up. And Kanji was counting bills out of his wallet into her hand, growling something under his breath as he did so
