Chie jolted like a wound-up rocket from the cushion she had, mere seconds before, been lounging on; green-socked feet and smooth legs tucked protectively underneath her bottom, tongue wetting the lips, fingers stiff with focused control across the arrow pad, and eyes aflame with the same tomboy-ish determination that frequently found itself etched in her features. In contrast to her current state, however, she had been a mild lamb at play.
Now she was a raging bull. Yosuke could practically see the steam shooting out from her flared nostrils.
“Yosuke, you cheater!” she glared at him with that same irritated expression she had delivered when her Trial of the Dragon DVD had been cracked; which, given the situation, was not a good sign. At all.
“Cheating!? Chie, I am an honest-for-goodness gamer. Gamer, Chie. I’ve never cheated at a video game, ever.”
“Oh really?! Then answer this, Yosuke! How did you manage to beat me with Pikachu, huh? It’s a conspiracy!”
