Cell phone question

Apr 05, 2007 01:03

I am in bad need of a new phone, and am seriously considering giving my service provider the boot. I greatly value the opinions of this particular peanut gallery, so I thought I'd shoot off a few quick questions for you...

I had to rate verizon kind of low on customer service the_old_songs April 5 2007, 15:02:31 UTC
but to be fair their plan is fair and very straightforward and we've only needed to call customer service once, and that was for and address change when we moved. And Dan was on hold for a while and the person was ok-polite but not very.

But, you know, there are those companies where you need to call customer service all the time because there are always mistakes on your bill and nothng makes sense. To me it doesn't matter that Verizon's custoer service was only ok, because we're set up in a way that we don't really need servicing, dig?

I'd be interested to hear others' customer service experience during mergers. We had an AT&T legacy plan throughout the Cingular days.

They wouldn't match our plan when it was time to renew. We kept month to month until they got so annoyed (or merger decreed) that they gradfather our plan into the Cingular fold. We finally got the added bonus of roll-over minutes.

I mean I know Cingular... on the one hand they suck on the other hand I almost never have a dead area, and the 10% discount i get from work doesn't hurt anything.
