At the end, they stop before they both get anywhere, and Elena tries to apologize for not completing the act, but then neither of them is inclined to carry on, so they just hold each other.

Your prompt ate my brain, really. Because OMG ELENA WOULD HAVE PERFORMANCE ANXIETY LIKE HELL! But then Damon's POV happened, and somehow I failed to focus on Elena. So I might end up writing another one, from Elena's POV this time.

Lol, they so should talk. But then, can you imagine Damon having a conversation about how he can't get it up unless she gets rough with him? XD

Partly because he's had so many lovers, and partly because she wants to be GOOD at things. I mean, guys GET THERE every time (or, at least, that's the urban legend), so if he can't get there with her, clearly she's not trying hard enough.
