Dude, we're married! Thomas and I just keep looking at each other and saying this, also pretending to use our rings for Wonder Twin powers. We are dorks.

The only photo we have from the event so far is a blurry cellphone one taken by his mom at the reception, but I'll post it anyhow.

You know, after all of the drama getting there it pretty much did. There's a hell of a lot of fallout going on with my grandparents right now, but that's another story.

I am pleased to hear it went so well after all the planning headaches and such! Congratulations to you and Thomas, with a salute to many happy years together.

I feel your pain about the situation with the grandparents; I will, more often than I'd like, receive inappropriate comments from my parents for being "Wreckless, Irresponsible, Selfish, Secretive in everything I do, " etc, etc, they expect to say such things and that those things are to have no impact on feelings about them in the future. It is very frustrating. So I understand your situation completely. There have been times with giant screaming arguments, and those will sometimes have a temporary positive effect. I hope that in your situation, good will come out of it and no bridges will be burned. I hope they have the decency to apologize to you, as you certainly deserve it.

Thanks Cormac! Sorry to hear that you have a tough situation in your family too. It's so sad when you reflect that it just really doesn't have to be this way.
