I understand how this is. It's difficult to fit everything in each day, and carving out time to do things can be hard. But I know you to be a man of great discipline, when you want to be, so if this is a priority, you'll be doing it.
On the other hand, there's no reason it needs to be, necessarily. If you post, you post. If you don't, well, that's OK too. :)
I'm working now at Madison College. Adjunct teaching, which is alright. I do some additional work in Des Moines, and teach graduate students for Empire State College. It's a hodge-podge of activity, but I like it.
Dietary stuff changes slowly. So I'm not trying to restrict myself too heavily, but rather making better choices about what to eat. It's...difficult, but it is also happening, which is reassuring. Also trying to avoid rebelling against the changes and bingeing on junk food - going slow on chocolate was fairly easy; who knew that potato chips would be difficult?
Profound sympathy on the diabetes and diet change front; have been at it for about two years now, and it's a daily struggle to keep the evil, destructive sweets and starches out of the old piehole. Good luck with it; there is no question that diet change delivers in the blood sugar department.
And have you had any chance at all to do a bit of piping? (I thought of "Rick Mohr's music" the other day, and of you telling me about that particular typo, and was amused.)
I have the same problem with potato chips. I can happily have chocolate once or twice a week, and in small quantities. Potato chips, what do they put IN those things? Argh.

Piping - s l o w l y getting back into it. Regular writing time, regular practice time - building those back into my schedule.
