Screaming wednesday flowers

 Wednesday afternoons I play with the kids of the village. I am a little surprised at how fond of them I have become in only a few months, individually and as a group. I just love how kids will go with any game full force as long as they know what the rules are.

Were there any who tried to co-opt the rule-making position, or were they all cooperative little crazy-beans?

On the whole, they are incredibly social monkeys, and almost no one would dare cheat or bend the rules of any of the games, but there is quite a bit of learned discussion on the specifics. Case in point: In dodgeball, when the ball is thrown into the air to begin with, everyone agrees that you cannot pick it up until it has bounced three times, and that you cannot move immediately. HOWEVER! Can you move as soon as the ball touches down for the first time, or do you have to wait three times for that, as well?

ROSS! What David isn't telling you is that the kids like him so much they call the after-school play group "David Club".

wow. Why isn't David telling me that? That's a fun thing to know! And .. I'll admit to a sort of hungry-for-breakfast kind of jealousy. I want to be part of David Club!
