Do you hate writing, or do you hate writing assignments? ^_^

As for poetry, I'm an English teacher, and judging poetry is damned tough. As far as I'm concerned, all you can do is assess how consistantly it uses its particular form (irrelevant if it's blank verse) how vivid the language & imagery, and how clear it communicates the concept or emotion it purports to capture.

Okay, yeah, that's a big help, I know. :P
