Heh, I totally identify with the grunge state of being - that's been my style lately, too.
Yay for more MariMite! I envy you! :D For now, I just read English articles and translations and think over the different motivations for all the characters and how that incorporates into their personalities - the way we see them in the Anime and the parts we miss out in the novels. Lotsa brainwork there. :)
Hehe. Yeah, I can't read the mangas or novels (yet), so I just look at the pretty pictures. Thinking about characters and motivations is probably a lot more constructive towards appreciating MariMiteness. :)
I wanna learn Japanese in the next few years (I found a willing sempai n' everything! XD). Once I'm remotely competent, I hope to start translating MariMite and other such deserving things.
good luck with the Japanese. When I lived in Portland, my roommate Eric was learning Japanese (he just got back from going to school there for a year) and sometimes I'd help him with his homework by quizzing him on kanji and things (with flashcards; I didn't retain anything from it myself, heh). I love language but I did bad enough in French; I doubt I could learn Japanese -- I find the resolve to learn such a difficult language impressive. :) Go you! :P
I have a really hard time making friends. It's been especially tough recently, since I went off to college and lost nearly all of the few friends I had managed to scrape together in high school. And I still wasn't ever really close with them, anyways. I'm just doomed to be a loner, I guess. Sometimes I don't mind that so much, but sometimes it can get kind of... well, lonely. :/
I just like wearing black and other dark colors. I don't think my attitude is particularly "goth". I'm just me.
I'll try and get the image albums from that store in LA you told me about. :)

I think being "goth" is something of an attitude, and the color black seems to coencide with that attitude.
Oh yay for stuff. :D Next time, consider the image albums. :) They're just WONDERful.

... kidding. :P Heck, I'll friend you back. Nice to meet you!
Yeah, I don't think she really meant "goth". I knew a lot of goths back in high school, though, so I was kind of surprised.
A MariMite fan, huh? Awesome. ^_^ I like you already.
