“Right, let’s get you back to the Hub,” Ianto said, scooping Tosh up.
“I’m so sorry about this.” Tosh blushed faintly. “I should have changed my shoes before we left the Hub, I just wasn’t thinking, but really, there’s no need to carry me. I’m sure I could manage well enough as long as I have you to lean on.”
“Nonsense, Tosh,” Ianto said firmly. “The ground around here’s so uneven you’d be risking spraining your other ankle into the bargain, and we can’t have that. Besides, I don’t mind carrying you. I routinely lug unconscious Weevils and Jack around, and compared to them, you’re light as a feather. I could carry you all day.”
“You carry Jack like this?” Tosh’s eyes went wide. “Bridal style?”
“Ah, not usually. Most of the time I just sling him over my shoulder. He prefers that, says it gives him a nice view of my arse.”
Tosh giggled. “That definitely sounds like Jack.”
“He’s easy to please, or just easy.” Ianto winked at his friend. “As for the Weevils, if I’m alone a fireman’s carry works best. It’s all about efficiency. Weevils aren’t as flexible as humans, and nothing’s more flexible than Jack.”
