Summary: After the Brecon Beacons, Tosh and Ianto become close friends.

A/N: Double drabble.
It was funny the way their friendship had begun, although not in an amusing way. Ianto had liked Tosh before, better than the other members of the Torchwood Three team (with the exception of Jack), but they’d been colleagues, associates, friendly enough but not friends, until that awful day in the Brecon Beacons. There was nothing like getting knocked out, captured, and dumped together in a cellar with a pile of shoes and a fridge full of body parts to bring people together.
With no one else around to help them, they’d only had each other to rely on, and by the time Jack had swooped to the rescue, the seeds of friendship had been sown. They’d both saved each other in different ways, Tosh keeping Ianto from spiralling into mindless panic, and Ianto providing Tosh with a chance at escape. Through those selfless acts they’d gained a whole new respect for each other.
They’d only grown closer since then, getting to know each other better and discovering they liked a lot of the same things, so when Jack abandoned the team, and while Owen and Gwen bickered, they’d joined forces to keep Torchwood running until their errant leader returned.
