A/N: Double drabble.
“Wouldn’t it be great if we could travel through time?” Dee said as he and Ryo left the movie theatre after watching the latest Sci-Fi blockbuster. “Think of all the times we could visit!”
Ryo chuckled; when it came to movies, especially science fiction, Dee was like a big kid, full of wonder. “Where would you go if you could, past or future?”
Dee snorted. “Future, obviously.”
“Why ‘obviously’?”
“Think about it. There are tons of history books filled with all kinds of stuff that happened in the past, we might not know everything, but we know a lot. The future though… That’s not happened yet, so all we’ve got is fiction, books and movies, other people’s ideas of what it might be like in a few centuries, or millennia. It’s all guesswork, we can’t know for sure, but if we could go there…” Dee trailed off, grinning enthusiastically.
“How far into the future would you go?”
“I don’t know, thousand years maybe, see if we’re in contact with aliens on other planets by then, maybe even travel to another world.” Dee stopped at the pedestrian crossing, waiting for the lights to change. “Think there’ll be flyin’ cars by then?”
