“I’m not a dancer,” Ryo insisted. “I mean, it’s not that I CAN’T dance, I just don’t. Not much, anyway. Some slow dancing with a couple of girlfriends, dancing at parties in my teens, but that’s about it.”
Dee shook his head. “It’s a club, babe. Everyone’s gonna be dancin’, it’s not like you’ll be out there by yourself with everyone watchin’ ya, judgin’ your dance moves. No one’s gonna care. All that matters is that ya get to relax after the week we’ve had.”
“I can relax at home.”
“Not the same. We both need ourselves some downtime, and cuttin’ a groove out on the dancefloor is guaranteed to get rid of all that tension you’re carryin’ around. You don’t haveta be good to get loose. Just gotta feel the music.”
“You’re not gonna give up, are you?”
“Nope. You need this.”
“Fine, we’ll go dancing. Happy now?”
“Ecstatic.”
“You won’t be after I tread on your toes a few times.”
“We’ll see.”

“Thought you said you couldn’t dance,” Dee said later, when they stopped for a drink.
“No, I just said I wasn’t a good dancer.”
“Not true, babe. You’re a natural! Trust me, those hips don’t lie.”
